Established in 2002, eQTEL Group is run by Gerard Buckley, Eoin Leonard and Dave Deasy.
Today, eQTEL Group are market-leaders in Security, Data and Voice solutions and services for business. We have carved a strategic niche in each of our three areas of expertise. Our technical team has made their name in high-profile system-integration projects by using only cutting-edge products and employing some of the top designers and technicians in the country. Our service team has built a community of customers who love what we do, by sticking to a very simple strategy; We respond quickly and we do what we say we will. Our three divisions operate seamlessly with one another and many of our engineers are multi-disciplined.

and Dublin, but we carry out projects across Ireland, as well
as selected markets in the UK.

Technology Fast 50 awards for the second consecutive year.

Gerard Buckley
Managing Director
Ger has worked in the Telecoms Industry for 20 years. He studied Business in Cork IT and is a member of the Marketing Institute. Before founding eQTEL Group with Dave Deasy, Ger cut his teeth working in a senior role for Alcatel Ireland, one of the largest Telecoms companies in Europe. Ger enjoys building the business and is a big believer in re-training not just staff but directors also. He looks after the financial health of eQTEL Group and has always taken a hands-on approach to the business, facilitating the flat management structure which the company benefits from.
Ger enjoys rugby, hill-walking and horse-racing.
Eoin Leonard
Director of Project Management
Eoin's background is in data and security design. He studied Business Studies in Cork IT before going on to work for mobile telephony giant o2. He moved from here to eQTEL Group in 2003 and gained valuable experience designing voice, data and security networks. In 2006, Eoin became a director of eQTEL Group and went on to attain the most prestigious accreditation in the ICT industry, the BICSI RCDD, which is only awarded to professionals who have demonstrated excellence in their field and who have passed a rigorous examination. He has also since qualified as a Telecommunications Project Manager and is an active member in the BICSI community. He is also participating in the UCC Executive MBA Programme over the 2011/2012 cycle.

Dave Deasy
Technical Director
Dave has also spent most of his career working in the telecoms sector. Dave qualified from Cork IT and spent the early years of his career working with Eircom, before moving onto Technico and then Alcatel where he ran the Technical Department. It was here that he made the acquaintance of Ger Buckley and through this joyous union, eQTEL Group was born. Dave has a strong background in security also; having achieved distinctions in the relevant FETAC security courses as well as many other vendor specific courses. He is primarily interested in sourcing and vetting new technologies for eQTEL Group's three main divisions and overseeing the service and installation departments.
Dave enjoys music, sailing and water-sports.
